Ok, I will have 3 trophies made for 2008 Gen Con Indy (1st - 3rd). They are crystal and will look really nice. You can see Marike and Amy holding the trophies from a couple years ago by clicking here. We will aim to have the same exact trophies every year. We went for the perfect size of being able to be placed in a bookshelf or a display case, but still being large enough to have some serious heft to them. We are upping the ante this year for prizes once again.

1st place / Best in show for the best Dark Sword Miniature or Diorama receives: - Handsome Crystal Trophy, $500.00 in cold cash and $500.00 in hot Dark Sword products.

2nd place receives: - Handsome Crystal Trophy, $100.00 cash and $100.00 in product

3rd place receives: - Handsome Crystal Trophy, $100.00 in product

Please note - I may also personally approach you about purchasing your winning entries for the Dark Sword studio collection if you are open to parting with your winning entry. This of course would be above and beyond the prizes listed above and below. So you could make off with all sorts of cash and prizes when it is all said and done folks.

Special George R.R. Martin Masterworks Prize Support
In addition to great the prizes above, George wanted to incent people to paint up Dark Sword figs from the George R.R. Martin Masterworks line. So he is throwing some swag into the mix as well. The top 3 Dark Sword entries with George R.R. Martin Masterworks miniatures in them will be able to choose in descending order based on their placing in the competition which of the following prizes they want. First place gets first choice and so on...George twitches on well-painted miniatures just like I do.

Prize # 1 - A complete set of the DREAMSONGS audiobooks on CD, all three volumes (this is 43 CDs with 52 hours of stories on them - Wow!)
Prize # 2 - Signed copies of the Green Ronin RPGs of A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE and WILD CARDS.
Prize # 3- Signed hardcovers of INSIDE STRAIGHT and BUSTED FLUSH, the first two volumes of the "next generation" Wild Cards revival. If you dig Super Heroes, you will love what George and his fellow authors have done in their shared universe that has been around since the early 1980's.

All of these prizes will be personally signed by George R.R. Martin as well.

Please note - that it may be possible to have 6 different Dark Sword winners as George's prizes will be given out seperate from our standard prizes. This is in addition to the general Gen Con Indy prizes and awards you could win with your Dark Sword entries! So if your Dark Sword GRRM mini took first place in the Gen Con competition and also took first place for the Dark Sword Mfr award and the GRRM Award, you could win three times for three prizes with the same miniature at the same show. Talk about incentive to paint up a kick-ass Dark Sword GRRM mini for Gen Con !
