Visions in Fantasy - Honey Badgers - DSM7801
Dark Sword Miniatures is beyond pleased to welcome Mr. Jason Wiebe into the sculpting mix at Dark Sword. He was taught the double-secret probation (Animal House reference -sorry) handshake at Gen Con Indy when we nailed down his first three sculpts for Dark Sword. Jason has done work for all of the big companies, most notably our good pals at Reaper. I wanted to bring in another sculptor that could help Dave Summers expand our Frog line out into some interesting directions with really fun pieces. Jason was my one and only choice for this type of sculpting style as he has an eye for this and fits right in with what Dave has been doing for Dark Sword. As many people know, I like to keep a really tight-knit group at Dark Sword on both the sculpting and painting fronts. This helps keep a line tight. We have Tom Meier and Jeff Grace teaming up on certain aspects of our range and now we have Dave Summers and Jason Wiebe teaming up for other parts of our range. Work in some Gael Goumon sculpts from time to time and we have a rock-solid foundation built from working with some of the finest sculptors in the world.

For those of you who know me pretty well, you know I am crazy about Honey Badgers. I stumbled across some Youtube Videos of Honey Baders and could not stop laughing. They are like little Terminators with Fur. They just kill/eat everything in their paths - cobras, vipers, other snakes, huge monitors, you name it. Lions are even scared of them as they are beyond crazy. Plus they look hilarious with their little bleach blond racing stripe that runs along the top of their body. Throw in their cocky jock trot and you have one of the coolest animals out there. If my two miniature schnauzers could form a gang, they would recruit some Honey Badgers for muscle. So as you can see, I simply had to immortalize these little critters in pewter. And Jason Wiebe was up for the task after some educational videos that you too can check out via the links below.
Embrace your inner Honey Badgers...
