You can see here that this mini was used without the wings. The painter simply filled in the wing slots with some putty and it is now a very cool dual wield thief.

Here you see her without the wings of someone wants to snip her off her base, slap a little greenstuff in the wing slots and use her as a cool thief leaping off a building ledge in a diorama or something.
