Young Robert Baratheon Variant Sculpt – with Surcoat – DSM5070
This would be from around the time of the Battle of the Ruby Ford. This is a variant sculpt that now has a surcoat if you want a version to paint up a little more colorful than straight plate. George loves surcoats. This is kind of like GI Joe with the Kung Fu Grip except on Robert Baratheon. It is simply an improved version. You can see pictures of the original sculpt down below with no surcoat. Jess did another outstanding job on this mini. I really like the water effect she did on the base with a custom splash to add a tad more flair to the overall vibe of the miniature. And I like all the blood splatters on him. Robert was opening up a can of whoop-ass on the Ruby Ford that day with his massive warhammer. I cannot imagine how brutal it was to get smashed up inside of plate armor with a nasty warhammer just caving everything in with each blow.
Please note, this is in Gaming Scale, not 54mm.
